Choosing a supplier

It pays to take a little bit of time in choosing your broadband supplier company.

To make sure you make the right choice consider the points below. We’ve also provided links to other websites that will help you choose a broadband supplier.

Don't just choose the first supplier you come across or the one that appears to offer the cheapest service. You’ll know from experience of getting other work done in your house, that it can often pay to shop around and check out different suppliers.

Some immediate questions you might want to ask of a potential supplier of broadband to your home include:

  • Do they offer a guaranteed level of service?
  • Have they been in business for a while and is there any evidence of financial stability?
  • How many other domestic customers do they currently have?
  • How good is their after-sales and technical support if you need to call in case of an emergency?
  • Do they offer any client references or independent evidence of their quality?
  • Do they really provide you with value for money when compared to supplier companies?

Another good way of selecting the right supplier is to ask friends, neighbours and work colleagues to see if anybody has experience of dealing with your prospective supplier. Testimonials and references are often the best way of identifying quality supplier companies.
